Jika Community Arts Festival

Wingo Projects launches a Touring Community Arts Festival. Wingo Projects together with its partners including, Jika Television Online and Jika Performing Arts College is thrilled to announce the first ever staging of a Touring Community Arts Festival branded Jika Community Arts Festival - JCAF.

With this festival Wingo Projects intends to:

1. Develop a community arts project that is thoroughly informed by every community’s specific arts challenges, aspirations and desires for a better future 

2. Tailor-make the project for the community’s specific arts industry needs and unheard voices from Free State communities

3. Launch fieldwork and master classes with participating communities for the duration of the project and beyond, thus ensuring sustainability, access and broad participation.

4. Maximise utilisation of JPAC resources and infrastructure to ensure the excellent and efficient achievement of goals and objectives at hand 

5. Conceptualise and delineate a community arts project centred around the Free State in particular, with community arts groups as strategic partners and beneficiaries.
